At Umain Gothenburg, part of the Eidra group, we’re looking for a Tech Lead to guide the technical direction of our projects. You’ll design systems, support developers, and work with clients to deliver solutions that last and perform well.

Umain is just getting started in Gothenburg, giving you the chance to help shape a new studio and influence how we work. Backed by Eidra, a consultancy collective of >1,200 people with Nordic roots and global reach, meaning you’ll have the resources to thrive internationally while still keeping a personal connection and a voice in the local office.

What stays the same across all projects is the chance to design, build, and guide products from early ideas through to launch.

Our work is varied. You might:

• Launch an interactive marketing platform for an AAA video game release
• Build an adaptive mobile customer experience for a global restaurant brand
• Bring a national history museum collection into the virtual world using photo capture and VR
  
  Most projects run long enough for you to see them through from start to finish, but every now and then you may switch to something new. That balance gives you both continuity and variety.

What you’ll do

• Guide and design system architectures that are secure, scalable, and reliable
• Choose tools and set coding standards that help projects run smoothly
• Work with designers, strategists, and clients to turn ideas into practical technical solutions.
• Lead technical planning in projects and support colleagues during pitches.
• Run workshops with clients to explore options and make informed decisions.
• Support and mentor other developers, helping them grow their skills.

Who you are

• At least 7 years of experience in software development, ideally across frontend and backend
• Comfortable working with modern frontend frameworks (Next.js, Svelte, Flutter) and backend technologies (Golang, Rust, Kotlin)
• Experienced in designing systems, APIs, and integrations
• Able to explain technical topics clearly to both developers and non-technical people
• Someone who enjoys solving problems and supporting others.
