Eidra’s product and technology company, Umain, is growing in the Norwegian market. Now we’re seeking an experienced Tech Director to join our Oslo office.

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in digital consultancies or agencies to spearhead our technological efforts in Norway. As a member of our Norwegian team, you'll play a crucial role to:

• Lead engineering for our largest accounts
• Contribute to our overall growth strategy
• Shape our technology offerings in the Norwegian and international market
• Support the establishment and growth of our technical capabilities

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and experience in scaling teams within a consultancy environment. You’ll be instrumental in translating our international success to the Norwegian context, adapting our approaches to meet local market demands.

This role is based in Oslo, with a commitment of 3 days per week at Eidra’s office. It’s an opportunity to leverage your consultancy experience to build something new, drive innovation, and make a lasting impact in a dynamic, growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership and Innovation:
   1. Provide technical vision and direction for Eidra Norway’s projects and initiatives
   2. Stay at the forefront of technology trends, ensuring our offerings remain competitive in the market
   3. Mentor and guide project teams, fostering a culture of engineering excellence within Eidra’s Norway presence
2. Client Engagement and Business Development:
   1. Lead engineering efforts for our largest accounts, representing Eidra’s technical expertise
   2. Provide expert technical leadership and strategic counsel to key clients. Partner with C-suite executives to align technology with business goals, oversee the delivery of technical solutions, and foster strong client relationships.
   3. Participate in sales pitches and proposals, articulating Eidra’s technical capabilities and the technical POV that will gain the prospective client’s trust in our capabilities
   4. Identify and pursue growth opportunities for Eidra in the Norwegian and international market
3. Solution Architecture and Delivery:
   1. Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, maintainable, and innovative technical solutions aligned with Eidra’s product philosophy
   2. Ensure solutions meet clients' functional and non-functional requirements, including sustainability, security, and accessibility
   3. Monitor project progress and quality, resolving technical challenges as they arise
4. Team Building and Capability Development:
   1. Play a key role in building out Eidra’s technical capabilities within the Norwegian market
   2. Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team that embodies Eidra’s values
   3. Establish best practices and methodologies tailored to the Norwegian market while maintaining alignment with Eidra’s global standards
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
   1. Work closely with design, strategy, and business teams across Eidra companies to deliver integrated solutions
   2. Collaborate with Eidra’s global tech leadership to align Norwegian operations with company-wide initiatives
   3. Contribute to Umain’s overall strategy for the Norwegian market

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably in product development or digital consultancy environments
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex technical projects for enterprise clients
• Strong understanding of various technology stacks and their business applications, particularly in web, mobile and back-end systems. AI experience is a plus.
• Experience as a developer, ideally on web and/or mobile applications
• Experience in building and scaling technical teams in a growth environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
